Zaid Mahu Dedahkan Pemimpin Umno Yang Terlibat Dengan Aktiviti Tidak Bermoral

Friday, 30 April 2010

Zaid to expose Umno personalities indulging in vice

Thursday, April 29th, 2010 10:58:00

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) Datuk Zaid Ibrahim (pic) has lost his temperament after defeat in the Hulu Selangor parliamentary by-election, said former Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo.
Yesterday, Zaid told reporters he would expose names of Umno personalities who indulged in immoral activities — such as boozing, womanising and gambling — just as they had exposed his past during the by-election campaign.
Zaid is also now seeking to annul the Hulu Selangor results, alleging the Election Commission (EC) had been biased.
“What Zaid's doing now is called ‘gutter politics’, the type of dirty politics that he and his colleagues in PKR had condemned all this while,” Dr Khir told The Malay Mail.
“There’s no difference between what he’s doing now and what he claims to fight against. Clearly, Zaid has lost his rationale.”
While disagreeing with Zaid’s moves, he said the PKR supreme council member was free to do whatever he wanted.
“This is a democratic nation, so he can choose to do what he feels fit,” said Dr Khir, who is also the Opposition leader in the Selangor State Assembly.
“However, I think he should just move forward from his defeat in Hulu Selangor and not resort to this ‘gutter politics’, exposing bad deeds of others and whatnot.
“The Hulu Selangor defeat should be used as a stepping stone for himself and Pakatan Rakyat to move forward. But Zaid is moving backwards.
“This is quite unbecoming of someone who has had years of experience as a politician and is a prominent figure in Malaysian politics.”
Hulu Selangor Umno division committee member Datuk Zainal Abidin Sakom echoed this view.
"Zaid should not be practising this type of ‘negative politics’," said Zainal
“What he should be doing is planning how to convince the rakyat why he should have been the one elected.
“In fact, he should go out and thank the Hulu Selangor folk. Despite the fact he is an outsider and that he is new with PKR, he still gathered 22,000 votes, which is quite a huge number.”
Meanwhile, Kedah Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang challenged Zaid to provide the names and evidence of the allegations within seven days.
“His proposed campaign would unfairly smear the names of all BN leaders and ministers indefinitely. Till now, he has not provided any concrete evidence to back his allegations.”
Tan said Zaid’s failure to respond to his challenge would hurt PKR’s credibility. “It will also mark the repeated trend of PKR leaders making unfounded allegations and statements, including Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s previous purported takeover of the federal government on Sept 16, 2008,” added Tan
